Colorado Christian University (CCU) is offering an online Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree program that is designed to meet the increasing demand for qualified accounting professionals who exhibit high ethical standards in the business finance industry. Students of CCU’s BS Accounting program gain a strong foundational base in business economics and are trained in a variety of specialized accounting fields such as tax accounting, accounting for non-profit and government organizations, as well as various accounting systems.
The full program consists of 120 credit hours worth of academic course work. Courses are offered online, and usually come in 7-10 week blocks. Full time students can complete major course work over seven semesters. The curriculum stresses the development of values-based decision making skills. The general focus areas of CCU’s BS Accounting degree are similar to the Uniform CPA examination and include financial accounting and reporting, auditing and attestation, and regulation. CCU also ensured that the course work covered by their online BS Accounting program meets Colorado State Exam requirements.
The cost of one credit hour is $427.00 and this amount usually does not include the cost of books and other incidental expenses such as library fees. To help make the cost of education more affordable, CCU has put various financial aid options and scholarships in place. These are readily available to eligible students.
