Herzing University offers the Bachelor of Science in Accounting Program through the online format. The program provides a solid general business foundation plus a thorough study of accounting theories and practices. It prepares students for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination. It should be noted however that a number of years in accounting experience is required to qualify an individual to take the test. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Accounting Program ultimately seek to be Certified Public Accountants.
