Online Advanced Start BS in Business Administration – New Media/Internet Marketing (Kaplan University)

Kaplan University offers the Advanced Start B.S. in Business Administration Program to individuals interested in pursuing management career positions in a variety of fields. The program is provided with different career focus areas which offer learning for specific fields. One of these focus areas is the New Media/ Internet Marketing.

The New Media/ Internet Marketing Career Focus Area covers digital media marketing which includes management systems for electronic customer relationships, digital customer data management, search engine and email marketing as well as social networking. The knowledge and skills obtained from completion of the program can be used to effectively do business in the Internet. With the creation of the suitable online strategies, advertising becomes more effective thus leading to a product or service’s growth and accessibility. Graduates can look forward to job positions related to marketing and PR management in a wide range of business enterprises seeking to establish their online presence.

Students must complete at least one hundred eighty (180) credit hours to graduate. Required Core Courses include 100/200 Level Courses in Communication and Mathematics; 200 Level Communication Course; and 300/400 Level Courses in Arts and Humanities, Physical Science, and Social Science. Required Major Courses consist of Academic Strategies for the Business Professional, Microeconomics, Business Math, Introduction to Management, Finance, Marketing, Organizational Behavior, Management Policy and Strategy, Accounting for Non-Accounting Majors or Accounting I, Human Resource Management or Small Business Management, Ethics and the Legal Environment or Business Law, Business Process Management or Operations Management, Managerial Economics or Corporate Finance, Macroeconomics or Global Business, Marketing Research or Marketing Management or Marketing Elective, and Management Capstone Externship or Bachelor’s Capstone in Management. The remaining required courses consist of Open Electives. Those who wish to avail of the Advanced Start Program can have approved credits transferred from a completed associate’s degree.

Applicants must at least have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Tuition cost is $ 371.00 per hour. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
