Online Advanced Start BS in Business Administration – Project Management (Kaplan University)
The Advanced Start Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Focus on Project Management is offered by Kaplan University in the online format. The program is designed to prepare students to occupy career positions that entail overseeing project elements. Project managers are expected to define project goals, create project plans, monitor project progress and close it upon completion.
Associate and bachelor degree holders in other fields can take advantage of shorter completion time of the Advanced Start Option for career advancement purposes. Allowable combined transfer credits from prior learning should not exceed 75% of the required credits for degree programs. Students are required to complete at least 50% of major program requirements at Kaplan University. Requests for transfer credits must be completed before the start of the course.
Required courses for the Advanced Start Option include Managerial Accounting for Business Professionals, Organizational Behavior, Management Policy and Strategy, Ethics and the Legal Environment, Business Law, Business Process Management, Operations Management, Managerial Economics, Corporate Finance, Marketing Research, Marketing Management, Management Capstone Externship, Bachelor’s Capstone in Management, Project Management I or Project Management II, Business Process Management, and Outcomes Assessment and Quality Management. Applicants to the regular bachelor’s degree must at least have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Tuition cost is $ 425.00 per credit hour for the Advanced Start Option.
It would require the completion of a minimum of one hundred eighty (180) credit hours for a student to be eligible for graduation for a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Because of the allowable transfer credits from accredited institutions, students can graduate with a much less required number of credits and allow those qualified to be eligible within twelve (12) months. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
