Bachelor’s Degree: BS in Computer Engineering Technology (Grantham University)
Grantham University offers the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering Technology (BS-CET) to prepare students design and develop digital systems plus their associated software. The program curriculum includes courses in electronics and engineering technology as well as computer science. The university is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council.
Required courses include Digital Electronics and Lab, Microprocessor Systems Engineering and Lab, Advanced Microprocessors and Lab, Modern Digital Design and Lab, Computer Networks, Programming in C++, Fundamental Properties of DC Circuits and Lab, Fundamental Properties of AC Circuits and Lab, Electronics I and Lab, Electronics II and Lab, Analog Integrated Circuits and Lab, Signals and Systems Theory and Lab, Technical Projects Management, Capstone Project, Student Success, Calculus I and II, Physics II and Electives. General Education Courses include General Chemistry, Programming Essentials, Engineering and Ethics, English Composition I and II, Technical Writing, American Government I, College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Physics I. Total program length is one hundred twenty-five (125) credit hours.
Graduates are expected to be able to apply current knowledge and adapt to emerging applications of the field, come up with appropriate program objectives with creative application in designing systems, components or processes, demonstrate respect for diversity and commitment to quality, and function effectively in teams. Possible employment positions include Computer Hardware Engineer, Field Engineer, Design Engineer, Sales Engineer, and Engineering Specialist. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Tuition costs $ 265.00 per credit hour. This is inclusive of textbooks, shipping and software. Students can take classes individually at the cost of $ 335.00 per credit hour.
