Bachelor’s Degree: BS in Engineering Management Technology (Grantham University)

The Online Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management Technology Program is offered by Grantham University to students seeking positions with managerial responsibility in a technical environment. The program integrates business and technological development to produce graduates who are able to apply current knowledge and adapt to emerging applications; apply creativity in systems, components or processes design; and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and quality. The university is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council.

The program is comprised of one hundred twenty-six (126) credit hours. The curriculum includes a technology core, business core, general education courses, and electives that provide additional depth in business, engineering, and computer science. Required courses include Principles of Business Management, Financial Accounting, Personal Finance, Managerial Accounting, Principles of Finance I, Project Management, Entrepreneurship, Digital Electronics and Lab, Microprocessor System Engineering, Programming in C, Fundamental Properties of DC Circuits and Lab, Fundamental Properties of AC Circuits and Lab, Electronics I and Lab, Electronics II and Lab, Instrumentation/ Measurement and Lab, Student Success, Calculus I, and Physics II. General Education Courses consist of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, General Chemistry, Programming Essentials, Engineering and Ethics, English Composition I and II, Technical Writing, American Government I, Strategies for Decision Making, College Algebra, Precalculus, and Physics I.

Prospective students must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. They are also expected to be computer literate and are at the very least able to install programs, copy files from a disk to the hard drive, move files within directories, and have a basic level knowledge of the use of Word and Excel. Students who do not have such knowledge are required to take a basic computer course before the start of the program. A course in developmental math is available to those who are not ready to take College Algebra. Tuition costs $ 265.00 per credit hour or $ 335.00 per credit hour for those who prefer to take classes individually.
