Online BS in Health Science (Kaplan University)
The Bachelor of Science in Health Science Program is offered by Kaplan University to students seeking to secure a job position in the healthcare industry. Students have the opportunity to develop skills required in leadership positions in the healthcare field; gain understanding of the tools used for community health assessment; as well as apply health, healing, and wellness concepts from a broad prospective. Major Courses consist of Introduction to Health Science, Anatomy and Physiology I, Anatomy and Physiology II, Diseases of the Human Body, Healthcare Administration, Research Methods for Health Sciences, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Public Health, Models for Health and Wellness, Introduction to Chemistry-Matter and Equilibrium, 100/200 Level Major Elective, 300/400 Level Major Electives, and the Bachelor’s Capstone in Health Science.
The program curriculum is designed to provide students with foundational information regarding health sciences and patient care. An area of specialization can be established by taking four (4) upper-level Elective Courses in the preferred field. The program is offered entirely in the online format. Kaplan University gets its accreditation from The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
