Herzing University offers the Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management (BSHRM) Program which provides a solid foundation of general business knowledge while enabling students’ understanding of human resources management’s role as well as its relationship to employee productivity. Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions in human resources management. Herzing University offers this program through the online format backed by its accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Required Human Resources Management Courses include Accounting II, Organizational Change, Psychometrics, International Business, Human Resource Management, Introduction to Human Resource Management, Human Resource Information Systems, Employment Law and Labor Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Training and Development, Risk Management, and Strategic Staffing. A minimum of one hundred twenty-three (123) semester credit hours is needed to graduate. Students are also required to complete Management Core Courses, Open Electives Courses, General Education Courses, Personal Development Courses, a Project Management Course, and a Capstone Project.
Graduates can look forward to employment positions as Training Specialists, Labor Relations Manager, Employee Benefits Manager or as Corporate Recruiter. After successful completion of the program which is expected to happen within thirty-six (36) months, students are also offered opportunities for advancement in the field of HR management.
