Online BS in Information Systems Management (Hodges University)
Hodges University offers the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management Program to students seeking learning with a strong liberal arts foundation as well as business and management in the technological environment. Graduates will be ready to handle job positions related to the development and management of information systems. The university is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Students are required to complete a minimum of one hundred twenty-two (122) credit hours. The program curriculum consists of the Information System Management Component, the Liberal Arts Component, the Advanced Elective Core and the Specialty Core Component. The Specialty Core Component provides for three (3) specialty areas including the Enterprise Systems Management, the ISM Generalist Specialty, and the Information Systems Management Sub-specialties comprised of Information Security and Compliance Management, Data and Knowledge Management Systems, and the Managing Information Systems Projects.
Required Information Systems Management Courses include Information Systems Hardware and Systems Software, Introduction to Business, Advanced Computer Application, Analysis and Logical Design, Principles of Management, Introduction to Database Management Systems, Networks and Telecommunications, Principles of Information Security, Project Management, and System Analysis and Solution Architectures. Elective Courses should consist of upper-level courses either in interdisciplinary studies, business, information systems management or computer technology.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Associate degree holders with an equivalent of sixty (60) credits plus a minimum GPA of 2.5 can complete a bachelor’s degree through this program. Tuition cost is $ 460.00 per credit hour for an estimated total cost of $ 56,120.00.
