Kaplan University offers the online Advanced Start in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology to provide students a flexible option to obtain higher education. Required Courses include Project Management I or Managing Technological Innovation, IT Consulting Skills or Information Technology Externship, Internet Business Fundamentals or Management of Information Systems, Structured Query Language or Database Design, Bachelor’s Capstone in Information Technology, System Analysis and Design, Human Computer Interaction, Technology Infrastructure, Open Elective, Health Informatics I, Health Informatics II, Data Modeling for Health Informatics, Oracle Query Design, Application Development for Healthcare, Business Intelligence, and Data Warehousing and Data Mining. Tuition cost is placed at $ 425.00 per credit hour.
Prospective students must have an associate degree. Credit transfers are allowed thus enabling students to obtain a bachelor’s degree faster. Combined credit transfer should not exceed 75% of the required credits for degree programs. Graduates can pursue advanced studies through a Master’s Degree Program in Public Health, Information Technology, Business Administration, or Computer Science. Possible employment positions in a healthcare setting include system analyst, database administrator, technology consultant, and programmer analyst.
