About the Degree
South University’s Bachelor of Business Administration degree program with a specialization in Accounting prepares you with the relevant knowledge, background, and skills required for entry into the field of bookkeeping and accounting.
This online program is designed with the needs of working adults while still maintaining the quality education of a traditional campus degree. In fact, the school uses the same curriculum offered at all their campus locations. You will receive the same degree, quality instruction, variety of learning options and level of service found at the campus locations.
Courses within the accounting concentration include Cost Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Internal Auditing and Assurance, Business Law for Commercial Transactions, Governmental and Not-for-profit Accounting, and Federal Taxation.
Along with the accounting education, you will learn general business skills. You will learn leadership skills and gain the ability to assess organization needs. You will learn how to implement strategies to accommodate the fast-paced business world.
Also, you will apply your education in a practical manner by working on a capstone project.
To be accepted in this program, you must be a high school graduate or have the equivalent GED with a score of 225 or higher.
