Online Executive Business Management Certificate (Kaplan University)
Kaplan University offers the Executive Business Management Certificate Program through Kaplan Continuing Education (KCE). It is a program designed to provide knowledge and skills required by business professionals pursuing management and executive positions. Students can enhance their understanding of business theories while developing specific business skills on their area of interest.
The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. It provides the Certificate Program in various specialization tracks including general management, corporate finance, marketing, and international business. Students will be required to complete two (2) Core Courses in managerial economics and business ethics plus four (4) Electives specific to the chosen track. Regardless of the track chosen, students will be utilizing course materials as well as techniques based on theories and best practices of business in the current setting.
Prospective applicants include business professionals seeking career advancement or career change. The program is also especially suitable for professionals lacking in formal business education. Students must possess basic computer skills. Those who fail to demonstrate such skills will be required to complete a college level computer course. All applicants must posses a bachelor’s degree.
The program is expected to be completed in twelve (12) months. Required Courses include Strategic Human Resources Management, Business Law, Organizational Behavior, Business Math, Finance, Marketing, Management Policy and Strategy, Management Capstone Externship, Business Process Management, Managerial Economics, Intermediate Accounting II, Marketing Management, Corporate Finance, Project Management I or Management Information Systems, Outcomes Assessment and Quality Management, Supervisory Practices on Criminal Justice, Organizational Behavior in Criminal Justice Organizations, Internet Business Fundamentals or Internet Marketing, Advertising in the Twenty-First Century, and Employment Law.
