Online Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship for Growth Ventures (Kaplan University)
Kaplan University’s Kaplan Continuing Education (KCE) joins forces with Kauffman FastTrac® in providing the Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship for Growth Ventures Program to students interested in creating and operating their own business enterprises. Entrepreneurial activities include small projects as well as major enterprises, both of which have the potential of creating job opportunities for many. The program focuses on training individuals to effectively manage an expanding business.
The certificate program has a length of four (4) quarter credit hours. Required Courses include Managing a Growing Business – FastTrac® Growth Venture™ and the FastTrac® Growth Venture™ Lab. The curriculum will cover key business areas including creating marketing plans, creating growth business plans, and identifying leadership strategies. Credits earned from the certificate program can be applied to related degree programs of the university.
Prospective students are business owners aiming to develop management skills as required by expanding businesses. Students will be taught how to align all business aspects in a strategic manner to maximize growth potential. Some of the sample course topics provided in its program are growth potential analysis in an industry; strategy development for business performance improvement; development of a 3-year operating budget and forecast of profitability; and defense of growth business plans.
Graduates of the program can pursue further studies through the Master’s Degree Program in Business Administration or Information Technology with a specialization in Entrepreneurship. Certificate programs are not eligible for Title IV federal financial aid. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
