About the Degree
If you seek a rewarding career in criminal justice or wish to advance an existing criminal justice career, Capella University’s Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Safety with a concentration in Criminal Justice offers the courses necessary to achieve your educational and career goals.
Capella can give you the necessary training for a challenging and rewarding career in public safety. You will learn to combine research, theory and principle in areas such as corrections, judicial systems, police-community relations, investigations and criminal procedures.
Students who enroll in this degree are often looking to land a job in entry-level officer positions or advance their career within law enforcement organizations, corrections departments, or federal agencies.
Tuition is $265 per credit hour for 1000-2000 level course and $352 per credit hour for 3000-4000 level courses. A total of 180 credit hours are required (including 45 quarter hours in general education coursework). Financial aid and military benefits are available for those who qualify.
As part of this program, you can use elective classes to earn a concentration in Security Management for no additional time or money.
