Graduate Certificate in Construction Management (Drexel University)

The Graduate Certificate in Construction Management is an 18-credit certificate program that primarily educates professionals in the required multi-disciplinary skills to be an effective construction manager. It can serve either as a professional development credential or can be applied towards an MS in Construction Management Degree. This program provides a suitable platform within which to develop senior management for the industry.

The program curriculum consists of three (3) credits each for Construction Control Techniques, Cost Estimating and Bidding Strategies, Risk Management in Construction, Applied Construction Project Management, Construction Contract Administration, and Strategic Management in Construction. A prerequisite course in Leadership in Construction may be required or waived depending on the experience and background of individual students and the discretion of the faculty. Students can enroll in this certificate program only on a part-time basis.

Admissions requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, completed application, official transcripts, two letters of recommendation, updated resume, and a 500-word essay about the applicant’s reason for wanting to pursue graduate studies through the program. Holders of Bachelor’s Degree in Business and non-technical fields may also be considered. International students are also required to submit TOEFL scores. All submitted requirements become the property of Drexel University Online.

Tuition rate is $ 960.00 per credit. Discounted tuition rate can be availed of through the university’s partnership programs. Tuition benefits however, cannot be combined. Faculty members consist of industry professionals from both the private and public sectors thereby providing access to critical experiences that are only possible through actual exposure either in union or open environment.
