Herzing University offers the Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Business Management Program in the online format. The program is designed for professionals seeking advancement in the management level in their respective fields. Graduates of this program are trained to apply their acquired knowledge on their field of choice such as finance, healthcare, education, insurance, and many others.
The program length is forty-two (42) or forty-five (45) semester credit hours depending on whether the MBA 500 Business Fundamentals course shall be required on a student. Students who possess a bachelor’s degree with a business major or minor can request exemption from this course. Other required MBA courses include Leadership and Organizational Behavior, Research and Decision Making, Marketing, Accounting for Managers, Information Systems and Technology, Operations and Project Management, Business and Labor Law, Finance, Strategic Planning, and the Graduate Capstone Project. Business Management Courses that are likewise required for completion by students include Human Resources Management, Entrepreneurship, International Business, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
After successful completion of the program, graduates are expected to be able to exhibit specific skills and knowledge including application of critical-thinking and problem-solving techniques in relation to administrative concerns, supervision and motivation of staff, and effective written and verbal communication, among others. Possible career positions include Senior Business Analyst, Project Controls Manager, and Senior Marketing Operations Manager. Applicants must have already earned a bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7, and the ability to conduct the coursework in English.
