Online MCITP Windows Server 2008 Administrator – Enterprise Administrator Track (Kaplan University)
Kaplan University offers the Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) Windows Server 2008 – Enterprise Administrator Track to systems engineers, technical consultants, network analysts, systems analysts, and technical support engineers seeking Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification. An MCITP certification is considered a highly-advantageous credential in the field specifically for career advancement purposes. The Enterprise Administrator Track focuses on infrastructure design, client/server technology, operations, as well as the security reviews and policies pertaining to the Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Platform.
The program is provided through the university’s Kaplan Continuing Education (KCE). An MCITP certification represents validation of knowledge and skills specifically in the Microsoft Technology. Program participants will be prepared to take the certification exam.
Prospective students include IT administrators or support personnel. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent plus a Comp TIA A + and Comp TIA Network + Certification or equivalent experience. Required Courses include Configuring Microsoft Windows 7 Client Operating System, Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration, Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration, Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure Configuration, and Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Administration.
Within six (6) months or less, students are expected to finish this program. Graduates are expected to have the expertise of evaluating, designing, maintaining, and trouble shooting Windows Server 2008 Solutions. They should also be able to demonstrate their abilities in using management utilities, security enhancements, virtualization technologies, and web tools. Possible job positions include enterprise systems administrator, IT systems manager, enterprise security administrator, systems architect, and network administrator. Enterprise administrators are recognized leaders in the design of Windows infrastructure.
