Grand Canyon University offers the Online Master of Education in Educational Administration (Eligible for Institutional Recommendation) Program to individuals seeking an administrative certificate or those interested in educational administration in the K-12 setting. Backed by the regional accreditation of the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the program has its foundation based on the standards of the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC) and the Educational Leadership Constituent Council (ELCC).

Experts in the fields of school leadership, organizational theory, public school finance, administrative foundations, K-12 legal issues, curriculum development, and instructional leadership teach the curriculum courses. Required courses include Educational Administration Foundation and Framework, Educational Leadership in a Changing World, Data-Driven Decisions for School Improvement, Legal Issues in Education, Public School Finance, Supervision and Instructional Leadership, Curriculum Development for School Improvement, The Principalship, Internship in Educational Administration I and II, Arizona and Federal Government, English Language Teaching: Foundations and Methodologies, and Advanced Methodologies of Structured English Immersion. Total credits for the program is forty (40) plus one hundred (100) practicum hours.

A very important component of the program is the supervised clinical 16-week internship that comes in two (2) parts. Graduates are expected to achieve understanding of leadership complexities that will enable them to facilitate smooth day-to-day operations. Applicants must be US citizens and have a teaching certificate or be eligible for certification.
