MS – Instructional Design for Online Learning (Capella University)
Today’s fast-paced lifestyle is one of the many reasons why the popularity of studying through online methods is gaining momentum. This growing field of education also has a growing demand for qualified educators who can ably prepare instructional design that is specifically structured for the online environment. Capella University has developed an online Master of Science (MS) degree program focusing on Instructional Design for Online Learning, that would enable learners to adequately meet the industry’s need.
Capella’s online MS Instructional Design for Online Learning has a curriculum that balances various aspects that relate to Online Learning. Topics that will be taken up include instructional design, psychology of learning, technology, designing effective instruction, methods of online delivery, software tools, and project management. Graduates of the program would be able to work as instructional design specialists of developers in a wide range of online learning settings including but not limited to educational institutions, corporations, the health care industry, government and event the military.
The full program is composed of 48 quarter credits worth of academic coursework. These units are earned by completing the required number of Core Courses, Specialization Courses and 2 Elective Courses. Financial aid, in the form of grants, loans and scholarship programs are in place and are readily available to eligible students.
