Online Master Degree Program: MS in Information Technology (Kaplan University)
Kaplan University offers the Master of Science in Information Technology to students seeking advanced and further studies in an integrated design and technology background. The program provides the opportunity to study the theory, principles, and practices of information systems; employment of project management skills; and analysis of data to solve complex problems. The master’s degree program is offered in several Emphasis Areas including Business Intelligence, Entrepreneurship, Information Security and Assurance, and Project Management. The program is offered entirely in the online format.
A Non-specialized Track has a total length of fifty-two (52) credit hours. Required Courses include Critical Concepts and Competencies for the IT Professional, Systems Analysis and Design, Information Systems Project Management, Database Management Systems, Computer Networks, Management of Information Security, Managing Technology in a Business Environment, Legal and Ethical Issues in IT, Applied IT Master Project, and IT Electives. A Specialized Track has a total program length of fifty-six (56) credit hours which includes sixteen (16) credit hours of Specialization Courses in the preferred Emphasis Area.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.5.
