The Master of Science in Management Program as offered by Kaplan University offers several advantages that will prove of use to graduates of the program when used in the real world work environment. Program highlights include theory and trend analysis in leadership, organizational behavior, social responsibility, ethics in decision making, critical skills development, examination of organizational finance and human resource management practices, and a capstone research project which integrates explored theories with actual application. A total of fifty-six (56) credit hours are required to be completed. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum cumulative GPA grade of 2.5.
Required Courses include Business Communications; Strategic Human Resource Management; Managers as Leaders; Management Theories and Practices-Past, Present and Future; Skills for Professional Impact; Foundations for Effective Management Practice; Organizational Excellence and Change; Action Research and Consulting Skills; Strategic Financial Analysis; and Applied Research Project. Specialization Courses include Leadership Strategies for a Changing World, Organizational Diagnosis and Design, Mentoring and Coaching, and Transformational Leadership. The rigorous training provided by the program ably prepares students for mid-level and higher management positions.
