Kaplan University offers the Master of Science in Psychology to individuals interested in having the exceptional opportunity of learning to blend the academic tradition of psychology with the contemporary applications of the science. The program focus is on the processes underlying the individual human experience and behavior. The specialization on Applied Behavioral Analysis is particularly focused on the developmentally disabled, the autistic, and individuals having traumatic brain injuries. Required Core Courses for the Thesis Track include Applied Statistics for Psychology, Foundations of Professional Psychology, Ethics and Standards of Professional Psychology, Advanced Research Methods, Testing/ Measurement/ and Assessment, Life Span Development, Master’s Research and Thesis I, and Master’s Research and Thesis II. Specialization Courses for Applied Behavioral Analysis consist of Research Design in Applied Behavioral Analysis, Advanced Principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis, Behavioral Measures and Interpretation of Data, Implementing Behavioral Change, and Clinical Applications of Applied Behavioral Analysis. Students can opt for the Comprehensive Exam Track where students take the Comprehensive Exam Course in lieu of the Research and Thesis Courses. Total program length for the Thesis Track is sixty-five (65) credit hours while the Comprehensive Exam Track requires completion of sixty (60) credit hours.

Accreditation is provided by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Financial aid is made available to qualified students.
