Capella University is offering an online Master of Science degree program with Public Safety Leadership specialization. This program was developed to meet the increasing demand for public safety leaders who are not just familiar with a broad range of public safety, criminal justice and emergency preparedness issues but also have the business and human resources skills necessary to properly run and manage complex organizations. Capella’s online MS Public Safety Leadership program prepares learners on how to handle the various aspects of public safety leadership and graduates are eligible to pursue career advancement or consulting careers in law enforcement, fire services, emergency response, and other professions involving public safety.

The curriculum of Capella’s online MS Public Safety Leadership specialization covers course work on human development and behavior, organizational leadership, accounting and finance, and training and performance improvement. These, and other topics needed to excel in a career in Public Safety are covered in the Core Courses, Specialization Courses and Elective Courses that must be completed in order to earn the degree.
