The MSN in Clinical Trials Research Program is offered by Drexel University Online and is specifically designed for nurses seeking careers as research coordinators, clinical scientists, clinical trials managers, coordinators and developers. The training provided in this program opens opportunities outside the hospital environment such as community or private practice. Pharmaceutical and other scientific companies engaged in producing, testing and marketing new products also have a high demand for individuals equipped with proper training in the field of clinical trials research.

The MSN in Clinical Trials Research Program is a 45-credit graduate program comprised of eighteen (18) credits of core courses, seven (7) credits of support courses, seventeen (17) credits of major courses and three (3) credits of electives. Major courses include Leadership and Stewardship in the Health Professions, Foundations of Good Clinical Practice in Clinical Trials Management, Operational Leadership in Clinical Trials Management, Current Topics in Clinical Trials Management, and Clinical Trials Research Practicum. Admissions criteria include a bachelor’s degree major in nursing, copy of current and unrestricted US RN license, official transcripts, current resume, two (2) letters of recommendation and a personal statement.
