Capella University is offering an online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree program with Nurse Educator specialization. This degree program was designed in order to help learners position themselves to meet the growing need for nurse educators in the country.
Capella’s online MSN Nurse Educator program has a curriculum that incorporates the Essentials of Master’s Education for Advanced Practice Nursing, as established by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. The program’s courses focus on providing advanced knowledge of nursing theory and practice; and the design, delivery, assessment and evaluation of nurse education programs. These are taught through Core Courses and Specialization Courses.
Some of the program’s courses have prerequisites and others need to be taken in a prescribed sequence thus, it is recommended that learners who want to earn the degree consult with an enrollment counselor prior to starting on the program. Those who successfully complete Capella’s MSN Nurse Educator program are able to take on advanced positions as nurse educators or clinical nurse leaders in higher education institutions, health care facilities and similar outfits.
Tuition, which is subject to change without prior notice, does not include the cost of books and other incidental expenses such as laboratory and library fees. Financial aid in the form of federal grants, loans, private scholarships and military discounts are in place to help make the cost of education more affordable.
