Capella University is proud to introduce its online PhD degree program with Counselor Education Supervision. This program was developed to prepare learners to meet growing demand for capable counseling educators and supervisors. The program is conducted primarily through the internet, and this flexibility allows learners to schedule their coursework and study periods around their existing personal and professional lifestyles and commitments.

Capella’s online PhD – Counselor Education and Supervision program is one of the few courses with this specialization that is available online. This doctoral degree program has a rigorous curriculum that includes online coursework, residencies, and field experiences that have been designed to heighten one’s clinical, teaching, research and supervisory skills. This degree program is ideal for master’s-level counselors who want to pursue supervisory, faculty, research or advanced practitioner roles in academic and clinical settings.

The full program is composed of 144 quarter credits worth of academic coursework. Tuition does not usually include the cost of books and other incidental expenses that may be incurred in the duration of the program. To make the cost of education more affordable, Capella University has set in place financial aid programs such as grants, loans and scholarships. These are readily available to eligible students.

This program is not designed to meet licensing requirements for counselors and those involved in counseling professions.
