PhD Degree – General Advanced Studies in Human Behavior (Capella University)
Capella University is offering an online PhD Degree program that would help individuals make a difference in their respective communities by strengthening one’s skills in leadership, advocacy, communication and program development and evaluation. Capella’s online PhD in Advanced Studies in Human Behavior will take on topics such as research methodology; human development and behaviours; eating disturbances; family issues and aging; grief, and bereavement.
The full program consists of 120 quarter credits of academic coursework, and these 120 credits are earned by completing the prescribed number of Core Courses, Specialization Courses and Elective Courses. Apart from learning more about human behavior, learners will have the opportunity to contribute to the field through their own doctoral researches. Graduates of this program can take up non-clinical/non-treatment leadership, advocacy or consulting roles in organizations involved in social and/or behavioral science. They can also work as faculty members in institutions of higher learning. Capella’s online PhD – Advanced Studies in Human Behavior, however, is not designed to meet licensure requirements for those in the counseling, psychology or social work professions.
Tuition does not include the cost of books and other incidental expenses that may be incurred while the program is being completed. To make the cost of education more affordable, Capella University has set various financial aid programs in place and these are readily available to eligible students.
