Colorado Technical University (CTU) is offering a Doctor of Management degree program with a concentration in Homeland Security (HLS). This program is designed to provide students with the theoretical, research and application capabilities necessary to pursue career in their chosen field, with special focus on Homeland Security.

CTU’s Doctor of Management – Homeland Security degree program is offered primarily through a mix of online and on-campus learning. The program’s curriculum includes twelve 5-credit classes and twelve 3-credit research and writing courses . These courses aim to train students on how to efficiently assess trans-organizational structures for the proper management of Homeland Security. The course work also challenges students to develops plan for coordinating networked Homeland Security organizations amongst different entities, analyze how crises unfold, and evaluate contingency measures for dealing with complications as they arise. There are also courses that deal with framing policy agendas for creating inter-organizational collaboration among different organizations and agencies.

Through this learning method, each of the program’s courses integrates active online components with intensive residential sessions. These residential sessions usually lasts for about four and a half days and students are required to attend two of these before they earn their degree.
