Post-Bachelor’s Certificate in Leadership in Health Systems Management (Drexel University)
The Post-Bachelor’s Certificate in Leadership in Health Systems Management is the only non-nursing certificate program offered by Drexel University Online through the College of Nursing and Health Professions. This program seeks to provide the required skills for healthcare professionals occupying supervisory and management positions. Credits obtained from this program can be used towards a master’s degree at Drexel University or other universities.
The curriculum for this certificate program includes Leadership and Stewardship in the Health Professions, Economics of Healthcare Management and Policy, Operations Management in Contemporary Healthcare Organization plus three (3) credits of any of these courses: Building and Leading High Performance Healthcare Organizations, The Business of Healthcare, or Strategic Positioning – Power, Politics and Influence in Healthcare. A total of twelve (12) graduate level credits are obtained from an NLN/CCNE approved Master’s in Nursing Program.
Admissions requirements include a bachelor’s degree with a major in nursing; official transcripts from all universities, colleges and post-secondary educational institutions attended; a copy of current, unrestricted RN license or eligibility for licensure; a completed application form; resume; 2.75 GPA or above on all previous work; and a personal statement of 800 to 1,600 words.
From the regular graduate tuition rate of $ 813.00 per credit, tuition rate for this certificate program is $ 732.00 per credit for all students accepted into an online graduate program or $ 610.00 per credit for members of partnering associations or companies. Tuition benefits may not be combined with other financial assistance options made available by Drexel University.
