RN-to-BSN Degree Completion (Capella University)
There is a constantly growing need for nurses all around the world and Capella University has designed an online Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree completion program the help Registered Nurses earn their bachelor’s degree and be better equipped to meet the demand of the health care industry.
Capella’s online BSN RN-to-BSN degree completion program is unique because it incorporates various aspects of the Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice, as established by the American Association of Colleges and Nursing (AACN). Furthermore, Capella’s online BSN RN-to-BSN program has been designed to give licensed nurses with additional knowledge, skills and decision making proficiencies that are necessary in complex health care systems.
The program consists of 180 quarter credits and these are earned by taking the prescribed number of General Education Courses, Core Courses, Electives and a Capella Course at the last quarter of the program. Coursework is a rich, collaborative experience that involves interactive multi-media materials. Topics that will be covered include health promotion and disease preventions, multi-cultural wellness strategies, pharmacology and patient safety, patient care technology, nursing group processes, leadership and management, policy, law, ethics and professional nursing practice regulations.
