Abilene Christian University (ACU)

Abilene Christian University (ACU) is one of the largest private universities in the Southwest and is ranked as one of “America’s Best Colleges of 2010” both by the U.S. News and World Report and Forbes Magazine. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the University and College Accountability Network (UCAN).

ACU offers graduate programs in its online university. ACU online currently has 5 online Master’s programs and 2 online graduate certificate programs. These online degrees are the equivalent of the traditional degrees with online students getting the same diploma as on-campus students get upon graduation. Undergraduate online courses are also available during the summer for students that are already currently enrolled in its campus -based programs.

The admissions process for online programs start by submitting your personal information on the ACU online website and paying a $100 application fee. Online programs have 2 starting points each semester so that admissions are processed year round.

Students that need financial aid to defray the cost of studying may apply for federal financial aid. Students under the Graduate School of Theology have better financial aid options ranging from scholarships to tuition reduction and Graduate and Teaching Assistantships. Those enrolling in graduate online courses are encouraged by the university to seek financial aid from their employers.
