American Sentinel University (ASU)

The American Sentinel University (ASU) is an online university that offers both online bachelor’s degree programs and online master’s degree programs. It is well known for its healthcare programs.

ASU currently has 4 Associate degree programs, 11 Bachelor’s degree programs (including RN to BSN Nursing), 8 Master’s degree programs, 1 Doctorate program (Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree) and 4 certificate programs.

Admission requirements for the online associate and bachelors degree programs include:

● Completed online application form with resume/curriculum vitae
● Evidence of graduation from high school, GED equivalent or college transcript
● Minimum GPA of 2.00
● TOEFL or IELTS score – for international students

Tuition for Associate and Bachelor’s degree programs range from $320 to $340 per credit hour , not inclusive of fees. Tuition for post-graduate programs range from $385 to $540 per credit hour. Note that since all courses in ASU are online courses there are no cost of living expenses to be added on to the tuition and fees. Payment of tuition can be done through credit card or through pre-authorized payment deduction.

Financial aid is offered to ASU employees and their family members through tuition reduction. Other students can avail of different payment plans and micro-loans. ASU also helps expedite employer reimbursements when needed.

The university is accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC), which listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency. Its nursing degree programs are also accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
