Brookline College

Brookline College was originally known as the Arizona Institute of Business and Technology (AIBT). It was founded as a business and technical school on October 18, 1979 and was accredited by the Association of Independent Colleges and Schools (now Accredited Council for Independent Colleges and Schools) in 1982. In 2001 the school was awarded Senior College status. The following year, a new campus was opened in New Mexico and the school changed it’s name from AIBT to International Institute of Americas (IIA). In 2008, IIA was renamed IIA College and in the succeeding year, renamed to Brookline College.

Brookline College offers online courses in the fields of Business (BA in Business Management, BA in Public Administration, Associate of Arts Business, Associate of Arts Accounting, Diploma – Business Technology Specialist), Legal Studies (Associate of Arts – Justice Administration, Associate of Arts – Paralegal Studies, Diploma – Legal Secretary) and Healthcare (Associate of Science – Health Care Administration, Diploma – Medical Insurance Billing and Coding).

Brookline College generally accepts applicants who are citizens of the United States. The College can accept non-citizens however these applicants must first be classified as an eligible non-citizen by the Department of Homeland Security. Online students, apart from meeting the school and the program’s admission requirements, must also meet specific computer requirements and are required to complete the online New Student Orientation tutorial prior to commencing any course.

Tuition fee costs vary depending on the program of study. To make education more affordable, financial aid is available to qualified students in the form of federal grants, private loans and scholarships. More information can be requested from the College’s Financial Aid Office.

Brookline College’s Phoenix, Tucson, Tempe and Albuquerque campuses are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).
