Carrington College California (Western Career College) was founded in 1967 as an educational institution that offered training in healthcare, legal and technical areas of study in a wide range of career disciplines. It is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It has changed its name to Carrington College California in line with the approval of its proposed expanded educational mission. It presently has nine (9) physical campuses as well as an online campus.
Online programs offered by Carrington College California are in the study areas of Accounting, Business, Criminal Justice, General Studies, Graphic Design, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Technology, Sales and Marketing, Paralegal Studies, and Renewable Energy. Prospective students must be at least 17 years of age and have earned a High School Diploma or GED. These students shall be required to complete a personal telephone interview with an Admissions Representative and be asked to submit official school documentation. All new students are required to complete an orientation before the start of classes.
