Herzing University is a private, for-profit, career-focused learning institution originally located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was founded in 1965 by Henry and Suzanne Herzing as a school tasked to provide computer programming skills that would prepare students for careers in the computer industry.

As part of its expansion efforts and in keeping with its goal to make the quality education if offers accessible to more students, Herzing University began to establish other campuses in other areas of the United States and Canada.

Today, it maintains ten campuses in the United States; namely, the Akron Institute campus plus those in Atlanta, Birmingham, Kenosha, Madison, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Orlando, Omaha and Toledo. It also has four campuses in Canada and a comprehensive online campus known as Herzing University Online which allows students to pursue higher education regardless of where they are located globally.

Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association, Herzing University Online offers associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees in a wide variety of majors. No longer just offering courses in computer programming-related topics, the online program now also offers degrees in such fields as business management, electronics, health care, graphic design, and public safety. Presently, the university is recognized as a progressive leader in career education.

Financial aid is extended in the form of loans, grants, veteran or military benefits and scholarships for qualified students.
