Iowa Central Online is the online degree granting arm of Iowa Central Community College, an educational institution established in 1966 through the merger of three Community Colleges: Fort Dodge, Webster City and Eagle Grove. The main campus of Iowa Central Community College is located in Fort Dodge, Iowa but it has satellite campuses in Webster City and Storm Lake.
Iowa Central Online offers associate degrees in the fields of Business, Computer Networking Technology, Criminal Justice, Health Care Administration, and Medical Transcription and Coding.
To apply for admission, interested parties are requested to complete an online application form which can be found on the Iowa Central Online website. Applicants will be asked to give details about their previous academic background such as High School / GED qualifications and SAT / ACT scores. If these are unavailable, applicants may need to contact the Admissions office so they may be further advised on the application requirements and procedures.
Actual tuition fee figures for online courses are not readily available. They are, however, charged on a per credit hour basis and in most cases, do not include books and other incidental fees. Iowa Central Online was ranked 4th among 200 online degree granting academic institutions by Guide to Online Schools, a leading online education portal. Iowa Central Community College and it’s distance learning arm are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and are members of the North Central Association.
