Marygrove College was founded in 1905. It is an independent, Catholic, liberal arts college committed to fostering Christian values. The college, located on a 53 acre campus in Detroit, Michigan, is home to over 1,300 undergraduate and graduate students. The College offers 31 Bachelor degree programs, 7 Master degree programs and 20 certification programs, all of which are to be taken on-campus.
Marygrove College, has partnered with four institutions: Canter Laureate, Teachscape, Performance Learning Systems, and Detroit Science Center, to provide Professional Development for Teachers. Through these partnerships, Marygrove College is able to offer a wide range of graduate courses that address issues on classroom management, instruction, reading and literacy, and technology.

There are other online courses, offered through Marygrove’s Continuing Education Program, however, most of these are non-degree and non-profit classes and usually run for six to eight weeks. These short courses focus on the fields of Career and Professional Development, Computers and Technology, Writing and Publishing and Personal Development. New classes in Web Design and Programming, Computers, Business and Law, and Personal Enrichment will be available soon.
Marygrove College is an accredited academic institution recognized by the North Central Association’s Higher Learning Commission, the Michigan State Department of Education, and the Council of Social Work and Education.
