Marylhurst University is a private, Catholic liberal arts university located in Marylhurst, Oregon which was founded in 1893 by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.
Today, the university is one of the oldest collegiate degree-granting institutions in Oregon. It offered its first degree in 1897 and now continues to award students with undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as various certificates.
In addition to its traditional on-campus classes, Marylhurst University also has an online learning program that allows students who are too busy to attend traditional on-campus to complete their studies and pursue higher education that will assure them of a better chance in landing a good job.
Providing online programs and courses since 1996, Marylhurst today offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees online. For the undergraduate level, it offers Bachelor of Science in Business Management; Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies; Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Studies and Prior Learning Assessment.
Graduate programs available 100% online include Master of Business Administration (MBA); and Master of Business Administration in Sustainable Business. Certificate in Public Relations is also offered online.
Marylhurst University is regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and has received specialized accreditation and approvals from numerous organizations. It was recognized by the Council for Adult & Experiential Learning as a national leader for its “comprehensively effective practices in serving adult learners.” Only six institutions in the United States and Canada have earned this benchmark.
Tuition costs at Marylhurst University are the same for on-campus and online courses and degree programs. Financial aid is extended in the form of loans, grants and work-study arrangements.
