Rutgers University is one of the oldest and most distinguished public schools in the United States. Its business school, Rutgers Business School (RBS), is one of the most prestigious worldwide, having the coveted AACSB International accreditation. Its MBA program is also very well known and is in fact ranked number 21 by The Wall Street Journal in its Best Executive MBA Programs.

Rutgers Business School offer online programs. It is the only institute of higher learning to offer a 100% online Masters in Governmental Accounting Program. Aside from its fully online Masteral program, it also offers a 100% online certificate in Government Financial Management program. The credits earned through this online certificate program can be applied towards the Master’s degree program.

Aside from completely online programs, students of traditional programs have the option of taking online courses, depending on the availability of online courses for their chosen program. An example of programs with online courses available include Master of Accountancy in Financial Accounting.

Admission requirements to the online Master of Accountancy in Governmental Accounting program include a bachelors degree in accounting, $65 non-refundable application fee, two letters of reference, current resume, essay, and TOEFL (if applicable). For non-accounting graduates, work experience equivalent to the subject matter covered in an undergraduate degree in accounting is required. The good news to applicants is GMAT scores are not required.

Tuition at RBS is $877 per credit for New Jersey residents and $1,446 per credit for the rest. Financial aid is available in the form of Federal and State aid as well as special RBS merit-based and need-based awards.
