Saint Joseph’s University or SJU was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1851 to help young men and women advance their professional and personal ambitions through a demanding yet supportive educational experience.

A private, coeducational, Roman Catholic Jesuit learning institution located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, SJU is one of the 28 member-institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities offering over 75 undergraduate programs leading to an award of a certificate, associate, or bachelor’s degree, 30 semester abroad programs, 47 graduate programs, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. Tuition is charged per academic year or per semester for undergraduate degrees and per program or per credit for graduate degrees. Tuition rates vary, however, according to the chosen program of study and number of courses taken. Financial aid is extended in the form of loans and grants to students who meet the required criteria.
