Union Institute & University Online
Union Institute & University (UI&U), established in 1964, is a private, not-for-profit institution that was founded with the vision of helping working adults achieve their dreams of pursuing their education. As such, it currently caters to the needs of working adults through non-traditional methods of delivery, including online programs.
Currently, online programs available at UI&U include their Bachelor of Arts program, Master of Arts program, and Master of Education program. The Bachelor of Arts program gives its students a change to pick their concentration, depending on their interest. Concentrations available include Arts, Education studies, Environmental studies, Historical, social, and cultural studies, Psychology and human development, Religion, spirituality, and holistic studies, Thematic studies, Women’s studies/gender studies, Writing and literature, and Teacher Licensure. The Master of Arts program also offer a variety of concentrations, namely: Creativity Studies, Education, Health and Wellness, History and Culture, Leadership, Public Policy and Social Issues, Literature and Writing, and Psychology. Note though that the MA in Psychology is a non-licensure program.

Tution for the Bachelor of Arts program is listed at $2,724 per 6 credits, $4,131 per 9 credits,and $5,508 per 12 credits. For the online Master of Arts programs, tuition $4,108 per 6 credits, $6,149 per 9 credits,and $8,215 per 12 credits. The tuition for the online Master of Education program is listed at $541 per credit hour.
Financial aid is available at UI&U in the form of Federal and state grants, student loans, work-study programs, and UI&U scholarships.
UI&U is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association.
