University of Saint Mary Online
University of Saint Mary (USM), formerly called Saint Mary College, was founded by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Kansas in 1923. It was originally a two-year educational institution for young women. Today the University offers undergraduate and graduate level degree programs at its main campus in Kansas, as well as through online learning.
USM’s online courses are offered in eight-week sessions for 5 school terms. All classes are held completely online and students can be assured that their courses are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and the NCATE. USM offers an online Master of Arts in Teaching program, an online RN to BSN Degree Completion Program, an online Master of Business Administration program, and an online Certificate in Health Care Management program.
To qualify for admission to USM’s online programs, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution as well as a GPA with a score of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. In addition, applicants are to submit a completed application form and other program-specific documentation. The tuition fees for USM’s online programs are not readily available however an estimate may be prepared upon request. Financial aid in the form of grants, loans and scholarships are in place for eligible students.
